Alewa Drive Pavement Repairs

The Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) will partially close Alewa Drive between ‘Auli‘i Street and Wyllie Street to perform necessary pavement repairs, beginning Monday, November 22, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Upon completion of this area, DFM will partially close and perform road repairs on the 1700 block of Alewa Drive.  Weather and conditions permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by Thursday, December 23, 2021, with no work being performed on Thanksgiving Day weekend from November 25 to November 28, 2021.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to please avoid the area and use alternate routes, if possible.  If unable to avoid the area, allow for extra travel time and abide by posted traffic signs.  Special Duty Honolulu Police Department Officers will be posted at the work site to assist with traffic control.

Access to driveways along the construction portion of Alewa Drive may be restricted while work is being performed fronting the affected properties.  Emergency access and bus services will be accommodated as needed.
