Honolulu Mayor approves budgets

The following statement can be attributed to Mayor Rick Blangiardi regarding the City Council’s approval of the operating and capital improvements program budgets:

“Five months to the day after taking office we are extremely pleased and excited our first budget was unanimously approved and we are committed to making sure every dollar will be spent responsibly and efficiently on the challenges of building affordable housing, homelessness, infrastructure, public safety, and modernizing our City services,” said Mayor Rick Blangiardi.

“I would like to thank Council Chair Tommy Waters, Budget Chair Calvin Say and all of the Honolulu City Councilmembers for the vote of confidence in our team during these extremely difficult fiscal times. Our leadership team is 100 percent committed to improving our City and serving the people of O‘ahu.”
