Kahalu‘u Lions Club to patch sidewalks along Waihe‘e Road

On Saturday, May 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., members of the Kahalu‘u Lions Club will inspect and patch concrete sidewalk hazards on the mauka side of Waihe‘e Road, starting near Kahalu‘u Community Park and working towards Kamehameha Highway. These volunteers will perform the work under the coordination of the City’s Mālama O Ka ‘Āina (MOKA) community volunteer program, which is administered by the Department of Facility Maintenance’s Division of Road Maintenance (DRM).

The City is grateful to the Kahalu‘u Lions Club members for their time and resources. These volunteers will provide a much needed service to the city, by creating a safer experience for the many people who frequently use our sidewalks. Valuable support will also be provided by Kualoa-He‘eia Ecumenical Youth (KEY) Project.
