Maui Electric unsafe to continue outage work

The Maui Electric Company deems the current Hurricane weather conditions as unsafe.

Due to high winds and falling trees that are currently posing dangerous working conditions, Maui Electric crews are halting work at this time. Crews will be redeployed to assess any outages and make repairs tomorrow morning as conditions improve and are deemed safe.
