New Automated Golf Tee Time Reservations on Oahu

Effective 6:30 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, a new automated tee time reservation system will begin public operation for the six municipal golf courses (Ala Wai, ‘Ewa Villages, Kahuku, Pali, Ted Makalena and West Loch). As part of the continuing effort to improve the customer service experience, golfers will be able to make tee time reservations via telephone or online.

The new automated tee time reservation system and golf point of sale/tee sheet operating system will be operating under foreUP hardware and software components. This technology will help improve the booking experience for golfers competing for popular tee times and allow golfers to make same-day tee time reservations via phone and online.

Under this new system, golfers can make reservations via telephone starting September 27 for tee times on Monday, October 4, 2021. Same day reservations will be available via telephone only starting October 4, 2021.

The old reservation number (808) 296-2000 will no longer be in service from October 4, 2021. Golfers calling in for advanced tee time reservations will be required to call the following dedicated phone numbers for each course:

  • Ala Wai Golf Course: (808) 207-6856
  • ‘Ewa Villages Golf Course: (808) 207-6741
  • Kahuku Golf Course: (808) 207-7076
  • Pali Golf Course: (808) 207-7099
  • Ted Makalena Golf Course: (808) 207-6735
  • West Loch Golf Course: (808) 207-6720

The dedicated phone lines will help to alleviate the backlog golfers experienced by calling into one general number for all courses, and expedite bookings.

Online bookings for tee time reservations will begin on November 1, 2021.

In order to make online reservations, all registered golfers will be required to fill out a City and County of Honolulu Golf ID Card Registration form to update their information. The Golf ID Card Registration form will be available online on October 4, 2021 here.

A hard copy of the registration form must be submitted to any municipal golf course’s Starter’s Office between 5:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., daily.

Golfers with a Golf ID Card will continue to be allowed to make advanced tee time reservations, 7-days ahead, starting at 6:30 a.m. daily. Golfers without the Golf ID Card can make advanced tee time reservations 3-days ahead, starting at 6:30 a.m. daily. Bookings for up to six golfers (Six-somes) per tee time will continue to be allowed.

Please note that the Golf Division will make the following adjustments to its operations during this transition period:

  • No senior monthly cards will be sold from October 1-3. Sales for monthly cards will resume on October 4;
  • No Golf ID Cards (new or replacement) will be made between September 27 to October 3; and
  • No Gift Cards will be accepted as a form of payment or be sold (new purchase) between September 27 to October 3.

The Golf Division appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding as upgrades to the tee time reservation and point of sale operating systems are being implemented.
