Satellite City Hall Worker Tests Positive

A customer service representative at the Kapolei Satellite City Hall has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The employee last worked Saturday, October 3, at the Kapolei Satellite City Hall, which is closed today as the staff undergoes self-quarantine, and the office goes through deep cleaning.

The Kapolei Satellite City Hall will remain closed to the public for in-person service until Monday, October 19.

Customers with appointments between now and then will be contacted directly to discuss their options. Every service offered at a satellite city hall can be done online, by mail, or at a self-service kiosk for renewing motor vehicle registrations. These options are detailed on the website for the Department of Customer Services – www.honolulu.gov/csd .

“We are supporting the individual who is recovering,” said Sheri Kajiwara, director of the city’s Department of Customer Services. “We are following all guidelines from local officials and are taking extreme measures to ensure the safety of our customers as mask wearing is required, plexiglass barriers remain in place, and cleaning between customers has been ongoing.”
