Milestone Celebrated By Family Owned Honolulu Cookie Company
Once a small mom-and-pop operation, Honolulu Cookie Company is marking its 20th anniversary this year with new core flavors, special packaging, commemorative merchandise and a continuing pledge that its trademark pineapple-shaped, delicious premium shortbread cookies will be baked fresh daily in Hawai’i.
Founders Keith and Janet Sung’s vision for a cookie that represented true Hawaiian hospitality has broadly grown from wholesale accounts to 17 retail stores in Hawai’i, Guam, and Las Vegas. “We are truly grateful for the popularity of our products,” said Keith. “Our gratitude is for our customers, and also for our loyal team members whose devotion to quality and superior customer service is equal to our own.”
As part of the commemoration, a new flavor being introduced to the lineup of inspired-by-Hawai’i flavors is White Triple Chocolate Macadamia! Triple chocolate macadamia nut shortbread cookies are hand-dipped in white chocolate by expert team members. Then, just like other full-sized Honolulu Cookie Company cookies, they are wrapped individually to ensure straight-from-the-bakery freshness.
The Guava flavor cookie, available only last spring and summer, proved so popular that the flavor is joining the core lineup that Honolulu Cookie Company offers year-round.
Collectible tins are part of Honolulu Cookie Company’s legacy and devotees include local residents and global visitors. The 20th Anniversary Collection offers a large tin containing 15 cookies in eight flavors including two newly introduced White Triple Chocolate Macadamia cookies and two Guava cookies. The special anniversary window box is a party of 18 cookies in 16 flavors, and the small 20th Anniversary Box bears six cookies in six flavors.
Commemorative items also include a limited-edition pineapple-shaped luggage tag and a 20-ounce, stainless steel tumbler in signature Honolulu Cookie Company colors.
Since 1998, Honolulu Cookie Company’s premium shortbread cookies have been baked fresh daily in Hawai’i using the freshest, finest ingredients. Available for shipping, each cookie is individually wrapped. Honolulu Cookie Company has 13 locations in Hawai’i; two in Las Vegas, and two on Guam. Honolulu Cookie Company cookies are also available at select retailers: DFS; Aulani a Disney Resort & Spa; Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort; Bloomingdale’s; Neiman Marcus and Tommy Baham
