Honolulu Restaurants Can Apply to Waive Metered Parking Fees

In response to Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s second stay-at-home order, tentatively ending on September 9, the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services will be continuing transportation programs created during the COVID-19 pandemic to help Honolulu restaurants and other local businesses.

Restaurants can still fill out a Street Usage Application to waive meter fees fronting their restaurant for curbside pickup and take-out only. Restaurants will need to fill out the application with their business name, address and parking meter numbers requested. Each restaurant will be permitted a maximum of 3 metered stalls and will be responsible for renting their own signage and barricades to mark and reserve these stalls once their application is accepted.

Bags will no longer be given out to be placed over meters. Only restaurant businesses will be allowed to apply.

Applications can be filled out at:

Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building

650 South King Street, Second Floor

Honolulu, Hawaii 96813

Monday through Friday

8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
