Free COVID-19 testing at Neal Blaisdell Center and Waikīkī Shell

With the continued need for coronavirus testing on O‘ahu, the City and County of Honolulu is announcing free RT-PCR COVID-19 Tests to O‘ahu residents at the Neal Blaisdell Center and the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell. Testing at both locations will be operated by the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii and funded through the State of Hawaii Department of Health.

Beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 8 the following hours will be in effect for testing at the Neal Blaisdell Center, weather permitting:

•             Sunday to Friday

•             9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

•             Drive thru and walk-in type testing available

Beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 8 the following hours will be in effect for the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell, weather permitting:

•             Monday to Sunday

•             9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

•             Walk-in type testing available

“Mahalo to the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii and the Department of Health for offering this vital resource for the people of the City and County of Honolulu,” said Director Hiro Toiya, Department of Emergency Management. “With more of our community getting back to the activities we so desperately need, testing remains a key piece to allowing us to move forward safely. Along with getting vaccinated, testing is a valuable tool in our arsenal to continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and any future variants.”

Testing at the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell will not be operational on Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 due to the Honolulu Marathon. Testing at the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell and the Neal Blaisdell Center will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Both testing sites will operate from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
