Olympic Cafe on Kaua‘i gets the green light

The Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) Food Safety Branch at the Kaua‘i District Health Office issued a green placard today to the Olympic Café located at 1354 Kuhio Highway in Kapa’a. The restaurant’s food establishment permit has been reinstated after it was issued a red placard earlier this week on May 10. Honolulu Zoo gets improved pathway

A Capital Improvement Project to reconstruct the shared-use pathway along the mauka side of the Honolulu Zoo is scheduled to begin next week. The pathway, which stretches approximately 1,500 feet (roughly a quarter mile) along Paki Avenue from Kapahulu to Monsaratt avenues, is currently deteriorating and experiencing damage from adjacent trees and heavy pedestrian use.
