Hawaii COVID Cases Surging with 1 Death and 166 Cases on 7/15

In the latest COVID-19 cases report from the Government of the Aloha State, 166 new Hawaii COVID-19 cases were reported bringing the total to 38,819 (up 0.4% from the previous day). To date, 1,780,439 COVID-19 tests have been conducted with 36,845 resulting in a positive reading and marking today’s positivity rate at 2.6%.

Currently, the average daily cases is 74.7. There were a total of 859 cases reported in the past 14 days. Total deaths to date are 522 (1.3%). At present, there are 48 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, 9 more than yesterday.


To avoid mandatory quarantine, the Vaccination Exception Program is an option for those who have been vaccinated in Hawai‘i, until July 8 when it extends to those vaccinated in the United States. Details at HawaiiCOVID19.com/travel/faqs.
