Hawaii leading on COVID-19: Stay home order until May 31
Honolulu Mayor Caldwell said Hawaii should be proud of its achievement leading the United States in the fight against Coronavirus. Mayor Caldwell said: Hawaii can be compared to Taiwan, which is very successful in beating the virus.
He also said it would be difficult to go back on a stay at home with all the data. Scientific data is needed and top important. In order to get this data, testing is needed.
The Mayor said: “Take away again hard, testing is science and important.”
Currently, 47 tests are done in the entire State of Hawaii, but in order to get all the data needed 152 tests are needed. In Honolulu, 1480 tests are required.
Today Hawaii has 582 cases and only a 2 increase with 12 people dead
Hawaii has conducted 17,999 tests per million.
The best State in testing is the State of Rhode Island with 37,226 and the worst is Puerto Rico with only 3,335 per million.
