Mandatory to wear a mask on Oahu as of Monday: Some exceptions
Today Mayor Caldwell in Honolulu issued an order for anyone interacting with the public and at places doing essential business a mask is required. It will be a misdemeanor not to wear a mask. The order will take effect Monday.
It includes riding the bus, in a taxi, rideshare. It’s important to still stay 6 feet away. It’s required in stores and any place where some interaction with the public.
Exceptions are made at a bank, an ATM. Exceptions are also made for medical reasons, like for people with asthma.
