Will Hawaii Governor Mandate Masks? Hawaii COVID-19 7/29 – 2 Deaths, 234 New Cases, 8 More Hospitalized

In the latest COVID-19 cases report from the Government of the Aloha State, 234 new Hawaii COVID-19 cases were reported bringing the total to 41,303 (up 0.5% from the previous day). This huge jump again may be due to the fact that yesterday’s new cases was not inclusive of all that was to be reported. Many, however, are wondering why the Governor has not stepped up to mandate masks again to help stop the surge.

To date, 1,834,020 COVID-19 tests have been conducted with 39,231 resulting in a positive reading and marking today’s positivity rate at 4.8%.

Currently, the average daily cases is 185.3. There were a total of 2,264 cases reported in the past 14 days. Total deaths to date are 534 (1.3%). At present, there are 111 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, 8 more than yesterday.
