Ala Moana Satellite City Hall on the move
The City and County of Honolulu has announced the relocation of the Ala Moana Satellite City Hall.
The current 3,500-square-foot location next to Barnes & Noble Booksellers will be relocated to a 1,977-square-foot space next to Assaggio Restaurant.
The new street-level location on the ocean side of the Ala Moana Center will officially open for service on an appointment-only basis Tuesday, Jan. 19. To facilitate the move, the old location will close after its last appointment Friday, Jan. 8.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our customers with aloha when we open the newly-relocated Ala Moana Satellite City Hall,” said Randy Leong, acting director of the city’s Department of Customer Services.
The Ala Moana Satellite City Hall averages 155 daily appointments for its services, which include registering vehicles, transferring ownership of vehicles and paying property taxes.
All services at the Ala Moana Satellite City Hall are offered online, by mail or at a self-service kiosk for renewing motor vehicle registrations.
The relocation of the office comes after more than two decades at the old location, where it established a presence in March 1996. For more information, visit honolulu.gov/csd.
