Invitation to Readers: Mufi Hannemann speaks at the Hawaii Tourism Wholesalers Association
Hawaii news Online readers are invited to attend the Hawaii Tourism Wholesalers Association meeting on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.Guest speaker is Mufi Hannemann, President & CEO of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association. His organization represents Over 700 lodging properties and businesses through education, advocacy, and philanthropy.
This will be a particularly good opportunity to learn the very latest about the quickly changing business trends affecting Hawaii’s tourism industry.
Mufi Hannemann attended ‘Iolani School, where he was student body president, and an all-star athlete in football and basketball. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University where he was active in student government and lettered in varsity basketball. After graduating in 1976, he studied as a Fulbright Scholar at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
He also founded the Pacific Century Fellows (PCF) modeled after the White House Fellows, which has mentored and encouraged 14 classes of future generations of local leaders.
Hannemann is also a weekly radio show host on 107.9 Hawaii’s Kool Gold and KNDI Radio 1270 AM and writes a weekly column in Honolulu’s MidWeek and a monthly column in the Saipan Tribune Herald.
