Single Engine Aircraft Crashed off Lanai

A single engine aircraft with two pilots on board crashed 8 miles off the Lanai coastline today.

Both pilots were rescued Saturday night by a US Coast Guard team from Barbers Point.

Both pilots were rescued with non life threatening but serious condition and transported to a hospital for treatment,

The search for the crashed plane, a DA 40 Diamond Star plane is ongoing.
