Welcome back: Hawaii Shopping Malls will open Thursday

Hawaii Governor David Ige today authorized shopping malls and a variety of retail businesses to reopen provided they minimize contact between employees and customers.

Hawaii is still under a stay-at-home order through the end of May but a new proclamation by Gov. David Ige will allow another cohort of businesses — including shopping malls, retail businesses, and some nonprofits — to reopen on Thursday. Social distancing guidelines will still be in effect.

In the meantime, Hawaii registered 4 new cases of COVID-19.
