Prepare Yourself for Hawaii Holiday Traffic
As the 2021 holiday season approaches, the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services announces annual holiday travel lane closure restrictions. These restrictions are intended to reduce congestion and allow better flow around major holiday destinations.
- There will be no travel lane closures on all City streets on November 26, 2021 (Day after Thanksgiving)
- From December 18, 2021 to January 1, 2022, there will be no travel lane closures on the streets listed below:

Kapiʻolani Boulevard from Piʻikoi Street to Kalākaua Avenue
Keʻeaumoku Street from Kapiʻolani Boulevard to Kīnaʻu Street
Dillingham Boulevard from North King Street to Alakawa Street
Piʻikoi Street from Ala Moana Boulevard to Beretania Street
